Udit Raj Questions Delay in Women’s Reservation Bill, Alleges Irregularities Ahead of Elections….

Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

Amid the ongoing political discourse surrounding the Women’s Reservation Bill and upcoming elections, senior Congress leader Udit Raj raised concerns over both the implementation of the legislation and the fairness of the electoral process.

Speaking in Jaipur, Udit Raj asserted that the Women’s Reservation Bill could have already been in effect if there had been genuine intent to implement it. “It would have been implemented by now. The Congress has clear intentions. They postponed it… We are in favour,” he said, indicating his party’s continued support for the provision of 33 percent reservation for women in legislative bodies.

His remarks come at a time when the bill remains a key point of political debate, with parties expressing support while also questioning the timeline and execution of its implementation.

Turning to the upcoming elections, Udit Raj made serious allegations regarding the integrity of the electoral process. “If there is no cheating, it is difficult for them to win anywhere,” he claimed, suggesting that electoral outcomes could be influenced by unfair practices.

He further raised concerns about voter lists, stating, “The voter lists are fake,” thereby questioning the credibility of electoral rolls ahead of the polls.

These statements add to the intensifying political rhetoric in the run-up to elections, where issues of transparency, governance, and representation are being strongly contested by various parties.

Udit Raj’s comments highlight the dual focus of the opposition—supporting key reforms like the Women’s Reservation Bill while simultaneously raising concerns over electoral fairness and accountability. As the political climate heats up, such assertions are expected to fuel further debate in the days leading to voting.
